    VEHICO Failsafe Emergency Brake System

    During unmanned and security-related test procedures one must ensure that the vehicle can be brought to a halt at all times even with a failure of individual system components of the driving robot. The emergency brake system uses the vehicle's brake pedal and can be triggered wirelessly from outside the vehicle. This is an optimal addition to conventional driving robots or custom driving dynamic controls, to enhance security during autonomous vehicle tests.

    VEHICO Gearchange Robot

    The gearchange robot is designed for vehicles with manual transmission. Unlike a conventional gearchange robot the compact design of our system allows the installation on the gear lever itself, and thus guarantees a fast and easy installation in any vehicle. Through a one-time teach-in procedure of the switching points a quick adaptation to the respective test vehicle is guaranteed.

    CO.TRACK - track controlled driving

    With CO.TRACK a vehicle is steered automatically and can therefore drive an arbitrarily predefined track reproducible. The automatic track control, sometimes also called path following, is integrated as a software option in our steering robots. It is a closed-loop control method that compensates the lateral displacement of the vehicle relative to a reference track. CO.TRACK is based on the long-standing expertise in the field of vehicle dynamics controls of VEHICO. Reproducible, smooth and robust steering with at the same time simple applicability are essential features of CO.TRACK. It is a very powerful but also safe system, as the driver manually controls the vehicle speed and at any time can take over the steering wheel itself.

    CO.DRIVE - automatic driving

    CO.DRIVE is the full automatic driving of a vehicle. CO.DRIVE is an extension of CO.TRACK as the track control system is supplemented by an additional speed and braking control. It is used when exactly reproducible driving without a human driver influence is necessary. For example, the high-publicity elk test may be carried out repeatedly under exactly the same conditions. As our driving robots leave the driver seat completely free, a driver can still sit in the car and at any time can take control of the vehicle itself. For the system, it is irrelevant whether a driver still sits inside the vehicle or not, so that even completely unmanned test maneuvers are possible.
